Photogenic Crested Butte - Wildflower Week 2005
Crested Butte in Colorado is called the
Wildflower Capital of the USA - it is a very photogenic location, not only
the town of Crested Butte, but primarily the landscape surrounding this town in the Southern
parts of Colorado - the valleys, the mountains, the various passes like Ohio
Pass or Kebler Pass. All photographs on this page have been taken on color slide film with one of the following cameras: Mamiya RZ 67 ProII, Pentax 645 and Lotus View 5x7 inch. The slides have been scanned to digital with a Nikon ED8000 scanner at 4000ppi. For website publishing, they have been drastically downsized and compressed to about 200kB per slide - which of course takes away the manifold of details which can be seen in the original scans.
